Ask Ed or Dak to record the origin story behind a song, a writing-room memory, or a moment from the road.
The Ghost Writers is a Nashville songwriter experience featuring Ed Hill and Dak Alley. The site brings Music City songwriters, country music hitmakers, ghostwriters, documentary commentary, song backstories, and voice recordings into one living archive.
Ed Hill is a BMI Songwriter of the Year whose songs have been recorded by Faith Hill, George Strait, Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Tracy Lawrence, and other major country artists. Dak Alley is a songwriter, author, co-host of Nashville Underground Tonight, and a 2013 IBMA Graphic Designer of the Year recipient for Carl Jackson's Grace Notes.
A trailer space for the short film: their faces, their voices, and the rooms where the songs began.
This frame will autoplay the documentary trailer once you record it. Until then, it moves like a quiet film slate: dark, elegant, and ready for Ed and Dak's commentary.
the story behind every hit — in their own voice
Fans and collaborators can request the next story recording. This gives the site a reason to come back after launch.
Ask Ed or Dak to record the origin story behind a song, a writing-room memory, or a moment from the road.
Strip the site down to one voice at a time: story, transcript, and the feeling of sitting in the room with the writer.
A clean packet for anyone covering the story: bios, credits, project description, contact, and approved positioning.
Built for music journalists, documentary partners, podcasts, local Nashville media, venue teams, and collaborators who need the story fast.
Ghost Notes is the update list for new recordings, documentary releases, merch drops, and behind-the-song notes.
